Tatami is a natural material with myriad beneficial properties. This coaster is filled with its charm. Tatami mats made of Yanagawa ori, a speciality of Yanagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture, are finished using techniques inherited from four generations of tatami ya (tatami mat makers). Particular attention was paid to the finishing of the warp threads that accentuate the coaster. The colorful and modern
