Wolfburn 'Batch 155' 46% An Cnoc (Knockdhu distillery) freshly roasting peanuts and plumesBatch No. 155 is the latest edition in Wolfburn's small batch releases, this time coming from whisky matured for 4 years in ex bourbon barrels before a final maturation in fresh ex Port hogsheads. A soft, heathery floral tone rises out of the glass on first sniff, joined by fruity Port cask flavours of home made jams. The palate has a vinous quality to it, with ginger and oak, leading to a caramel and dried fruit aftertaste.
