Well, this IS my grandmothers skillet and they made them so much lighter and smoother back then. Clara Bell bought her #8 three notch Lodge in the 40s before she left Tennessee to move north. This skillet is a #14 and has some beautiful swirls. There is some unevenness in color that will blend with use, and one small dime size of surface pitting that may have been a pattern shift.
