Lodge made by Griswold over aIf you want a skillet that lives in rarified air, this would be one of them. Griswold made Erie skillets are the earliest versions of the brand, made in the late 1800's. Early makers made their skillets by hand, and the very first Erie skillets were marked by makers with flowers, shields, and even a nautical anchor. Many of the mark versions were placed on the #8 skillet so there are not many #9's with a makers mark, let alone a crystal clear
