A hot summer with frequent thunderstorms allowed the grapes to ripen and flower beautifully, resulting in larger than average bunches. September brought a significant diurnal temperature variation and slightly higher temperatures, leading to a vintage of excellent quantity and quality from the harvest that began on October 8th.
