Description

one of the most expensive parts of the casting process was the patterns that were used to hand manufacture them

it seems that the "PPS" pattern was often copied by mid 1800 American foundries because of its superior balance

The heat ring block logo is one of most sought after skillet series‘ as it was one of Griswolds earliest with the cross style logo

The double spouts were from after the 1860‘s era of single pour spouts but we will defer to much more informed gate mark experts

Early 1900's Wagner made large "Arc Logo", #8 Cast Iron Skillet. Daily workhorse, awesome for everyday cooking Large block logo one of the most expensiveWhat a historic classic cast iron piece to have in your collection. This early 1900s Era Wagner "arc logo" #8 skillet is big, bold and beautiful. Its heat ring sits mostly flat but it will move on glass, so best for gas or coil stove. This era of skillet was very early in Wagners history and the "arc" logo is one that was only made for a brief period of time. They are similar to Griswolds Erie logo design, and are incredibly light to work with. LOVE
