It moves on glass so it is not recommended for glass or induction. Best for gas or electric coil stoves. The exterior had a plated look to it, while the interior surface was black iron. We restored this and seasoned it, giving it a deep, gorgeous bronze look. Made by hand in the 1920's, we fully strip and restored it back to
