Chambers (Pittsburgh) for Sass & Hafner (Chicago) A well preserved deep blue aqua mineral water bottle from the 1860s 1870s, crafted by A&D H. C. in Pittsburgh for Chicago's Sass & Hafner bottlers. Emblazoned on the front is the slightly worn inscription, "Sass & Hafner Chicago." Lewis Sass and William Hafner initiated their bottling venture in 1866, initially focusing on mineral water at 112 W. Lake.
