A Slow Spring At Upper Cradle Lake creek weighing up to a solidIt doesn't look much like the third of July in the Madison Mountains of Montana, but cracks are forming in the alpine winter and Upper Cradle Lake will soon be free of ice for a few short weeks. I shot this scene as a storm rolled in and late afternoon light fought against the dark clouds.
