This reel appears to be based off the model 50 and has a single action retrieve with a ported spool and front plate. Notably, it has a stainless steel line guide where the third pillar would normally be, which I have seen on only three other Bogdans. This rectangular guide was clearly not an "add on" and is placed in such a way that it allows one to fish in the classic style
