Eclipse cast iron anvils were patented on May 1st, 1894. This anvil is very solid with a rich patina, the anvil is however loosely mounted to the wooden base. The base of the anvil measures 6. 5"Wx8. 75"Dx10. 5"H. The anvil itself measures 15. 5" in height while the overall height of this piece measure 26". JM 080522 104799
