Chawan Matcha Bowl (Seto) producticon-1 where Bay Area ceramicist MarcoSeto pottery, known as Seto yaki, is one of Japans six Ancient Kilns. Seto was the first region in Japan to produce high fired, glazed ceramics, heavily influenced by Chinese and Korean techniques. Throughout history, the region set itself apart by embracing a wide variety of glazes, which combined with their plentiful reserves of high quality clay allowed the region to remain a leading ceramic producer over centuries. These are traditional matcha
