Ansonia, CT Heavy brass bucket produced by Hayden's Manufacturing Co., with stamped circular patent marks to the base noting the original December 16, 1851 patent, extended December 15, 1865, and reissued February 13, 1866. Hayden's was a prolific mid 19th century Connecticut brassworks, known for fine utilitarian wares ranging from buckets and kettles to oil lamps and hardware. This example is hand formed
